These terms cover your use of Seraphim, a third-party Discord bot. By adding Seraphim to a server or using its commands, you agree to them. If you're adding the bot on behalf of a server, you're confirming you have permission to do so.
Using Seraphim also means you agree to Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines, which take precedence over anything here where the two conflict.
You agree not to use Seraphim to:
Commands like /ban, /kick, /mute, /jail and /purge take real, often irreversible action in your server on behalf of whoever runs them. Seraphim enforces Discord's own permission requirements (for example, you need Discord's "Ban Members" permission to run /ban), but it has no way to judge whether an action was fair or justified. That responsibility sits with your server's own staff and permission structure. The anti-nuke system requests full Administrator access specifically so it can detect and respond to mass-destructive actions (bulk channel/role deletion, mass bans) as they happen. We'd rather ask for that up front than have a raid slip through because a needed permission wasn't granted.
The /play command streams from YouTube, Spotify, SoundCloud and Apple Music. You're responsible for making sure your use of that content complies with each platform's own terms of service and applicable copyright law. Seraphim is a player, not a license, and we don't review or endorse what gets queued.
Seraphim's owner(s) may block a user or an entire server from using the bot, bot-wide, if it's being used to abuse the bot itself, other servers, or Discord's platform. If a server is blacklisted, Seraphim will leave it automatically. This is separate from, and does not replace, your own server's moderation.
Seraphim is provided on a best-effort basis. Commands depend on Discord's API and on third-party services (YouTube, Spotify, lyrics and image providers) that we don't control, so occasional downtime, degraded features, or a temporarily broken command are expected from time to time rather than promised never to happen.
Seraphim is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the bot, including moderation actions taken by your own staff, lost data, or service interruptions. Nothing here limits liability that can't legally be limited in your jurisdiction.
You can remove Seraphim from your server at any time. We can restrict or blacklist access as described above. Sections that by their nature should survive removal, like the disclaimer of liability, continue to apply after the bot is removed.
We may update these terms as the bot changes. Material changes will be announced in the support server; continuing to use Seraphim after an update means you accept the revised terms.
