This policy explains what Seraphim ("the bot", "we") collects when it's added to a Discord server, why, and how long it's kept. It covers the bot only. Discord's own handling of your data is governed by Discord's Privacy Policy, not this one.
Seraphim only collects what it needs to run the commands you use. In practice, that's:
/play, a welcome message template, etc).Seraphim briefly caches recent message content, for a maximum of 3 days, solely so that features like /snipe and deleted/edited-message logs can show what a message said after it's gone. This is a rolling logging aid, not a permanent archive: entries older than 3 days are not retained, and the cache is scoped per server.
/snipe, but nothing further is done with it.Actions taken with moderation commands are stored so server staff have a history to review:
/warn, including who issued them and why, until removed with /removewarn./blacklist): a user or server ID, a reason, who blacklisted them, and when. This is restricted to Seraphim's own bot owner(s) and exists to stop abuse of the bot itself, separate from your server's own moderation.Settings you configure are stored per-server so the bot remembers them between restarts: welcome/goodbye channel and message templates, the autorole for new members, the mod-log channel, reaction-role panel setup, anti-nuke whitelist tiers, and AFK status/messages. None of this is shared between servers.
Some commands call outside services to do their job. When they do, only the minimum needed for that request is sent: no server or user profile data beyond what the command itself requires.
/neko, /waifu, /husbando, /kitsune, /action): nekos.best, to fetch the image or gif.Message content is capped at 3 days as described above. Moderation history, server configuration and blacklist entries are kept for as long as Seraphim is in your server (or until a bot owner removes a blacklist entry), since removing them silently would defeat the point of a moderation log. If Seraphim is removed from your server, its configuration for that server is no longer used going forward; to request deletion of stored data tied to your server or user ID, contact us through the support server below.
We don't sell data, and we don't share it with advertisers. Seraphim doesn't run ads or any kind of tracking pixel. Data is only ever sent to the third-party services listed above, and only what's needed to fulfill the specific command you ran.
You can ask what data we hold tied to your user ID, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted, subject to moderation records your own server's staff may need to keep. Reach out via the support server and we'll handle it directly.
Seraphim is intended for use in accordance with Discord's own Terms of Service, including its minimum age requirements. We don't knowingly collect data from users below that age beyond what Discord itself already provides to any bot in a server.
If this policy changes in a way that meaningfully affects what's collected or how it's used, we'll update the "last updated" date above and announce it in the support server.
Questions, data requests, or concerns: the fastest way to reach us is the support server (coming soon).
